Chef Bob Bagley is a Cleveland native who moved to Chicago in 2002 to build his culinary career from the ground up. Bob has worked every position in the back of house from dish to line cook and finally, executive chef. His passion and versatile expertise led him to such esteemed Chicago kitchens as Lula Café and Sola Restaurant. While at Lula, he gained valuable farm to table experience, learning the fine arts of butchery and sausage making. Later in 2010, he was invited to cook at the James Beard House, and as Chef de Cuisine at Sola, he led his culinary team to a Michelin Bib Gourmand award for three consecutive years from 2012 to 2014. From there he extended his experience to the challenge of becoming Executive Chef at the prestigious True North Golf Club in Harbor Springs, Michigan.
In May of 2019, Bob joined Café Selmarie as Executive Chef. Inspired by seasonal ingredients and his own unique vision, Bob brings an easy-going sophistication to his food – an added dash of elegance to the classic traditions of dining at Selmarie.
